Roland-Garros semifinalist Flavio Cobolli has revealed a light-hearted anecdote involving Rafael Nadal and one of the most famous showers in tennis. The Italian said he is currently using the same shower that Nadal used throughout his legendary 14-title reign at the French Open, a spot that became something of a personal tradition for the Spanish icon.
Recalling a past encounter, Cobolli joked that he once tried to "steal" Nadal's shower before being reminded whose territory it was. "I had a memory of that shower and tried to take it from him. Then Rafa knocked on the door, and I had to hurry because he was waiting. He told me it had been his shower for 14 years," Cobolli said, drawing laughs while paying tribute to Nadal's remarkable legacy in Paris.
