Rajya Sabha Chairman Swears In Eight New MPs

Eight newly elected Rajya Sabha members, including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and BJP leader Tarun Chugh, were sworn in on Monday. Rajya Sabha Chairman C. P. Radhakrishnan administered the oath, with Kharge taking his oath in Hindi while holding a copy of the Constitution. The other new members are Jitendra Meghjibhai Kanzariya, Mansingh Meraman Parmar, M. Nagaraja, Rajendra Hiralal Jain, Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi, and Alka Singh. Senior leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, J. P. Nadda, Kiren Rijiju, Arjun Ram Meghwal, and Harivansh, attended the ceremony as the new MPs officially began their tenure in the Upper House.
