India and Indonesia have convened the Joint Commission Meeting in New Delhi after a four-year gap, with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono co-chairing the discussions. Dr. Jaishankar highlighted the significant progress made in bilateral relations over the past four years and noted that both countries celebrated 75 years of diplomatic ties last year. The meeting aims to further strengthen cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, defense, maritime security, and Indo-Pacific partnerships.
