Amazon President and CEO Andy Jassy has announced that the company will increase its investment in India to $48 billion between 2026 and 2030, reaffirming its long-term commitment to the country's digital economy. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for India's development over the past 12 years, Jassy said India is rapidly emerging as a global hub for cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Amazon, which has already invested $40 billion in India since 2010, also aims to increase the number of direct and indirect jobs it supports from 2.8 million in 2024 to 3.8 million by 2030.
